Please use this form to apply for the Finnish Conducting School Masterclass in Helsinki, 22–26 February 2027.

There are 10 places for active participants. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Participation

As a passive participant, you may observe all piano sessions and orchestra rehearsals but will not receive podium time.

Early Bird fee for active participants: €1500 if the full course fee is paid by 30 November 2026.

If accepted as an active participant, a €600 deposit is required to secure your place. Of this amount, €100 is a non-refundable reservation fee. The deposit will be credited toward the total course fee.

Background

Please briefly describe your conducting studies, masterclasses, ensembles, professional experience, and other relevant conducting experience.

Biography and photograph

Please submit a short professional biography in English, maximum 900 characters including spaces. Please submit publication-ready text. If you are accepted to the masterclass, the biography may be used in the final concert programme and other materials directly related to the course.

By submitting this application, I confirm that the information provided is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

If accepted as an active participant, I understand that a €600 deposit is required to secure my place and that €100 of the deposit is a non-refundable reservation fee. The deposit will be credited toward the total course fee. Further payment and cancellation terms will be communicated upon acceptance.

I understand that I am responsible for my own travel arrangements, accommodation, travel documents, visas, insurance, and other personal expenses related to attending the masterclass.

I accept the teaching methods and artistic decisions of the masterclass faculty. I understand that changes may be made to the repertoire, schedule, venues, faculty, soloists, and other practical arrangements if necessary.

If accepted, I give Finnish Conducting School permission to use the biography and photograph submitted with this application in materials directly related to the masterclass, including the final concert programme, Finnish Conducting School website, and course communications.
